Anger Essentials

This one day ‘experiential’ Continuing Professional Development Workshop will provide psychotherapists, counsellors, health care professionals and allied professionals with an opportunity to enhance their awareness of their own anger. In addition, as participants gain greater awareness of these aspects of themselves, they will gain greater insight as to how to help their clients explore their own anger. This workshop will provide practical tools that will enhance the participant’s capacity to work with clients who are angry.

During the workshop participants will be provided with an opportunity to explore the following:

  • Anger Statistics – their meaning for therapists
  • Assessment for Angry Clients – 5 Anger Styles
  • What is Anger? – Healthy and Unhealthy
  • Anger Triggers – Historical Anger v Present – 3 Power Styles
  • Volcanoes: Hot or Cold – Human Brain and Anger
  • Rule 1 of Anger Management – Anger and Shame.

    Full payment can be accepted at the time of booking. Alternatively, a £5 non-refundable booking fee must be paid at the time of booking. Either payment secures your place on the event of your choice. If paying a deposit, the balance is payable any time up to and including registration on the day of the event.

    A place will be reserved only for persons who have either paid the full course fee or a deposit. If there are no places available when you contact Reception, you will be offered a place on the waiting list, if available. You will be notified if a place becomes available, up to 24 hours before or on the morning of the event.

    If you need to cancel your booking, we require 7 days’ notice before the event, we can then offer the place to someone on the waiting list. The Centre reserves the right to cancel or change details of any event should unforeseen circumstances require this. In the event of the Centre cancelling a course, fees/deposits will be returned in full.

    Exceptional circumstances and eligibility for concessionary fees may be discussed in confidence with the Chief Executive Officer.
