TARA’S LONG TERM FUTURE – AN UPDATE

Many, if not all of you, will be aware of the process we have been engaged in since this time last year regarding discerning what long term future can/should be secured for the Centre. Many of you, indeed, have played a crucial active part in the whole process in a variety of ways. For that we thank you most sincerely.

As this brochure goes to print, the Board of Directors awaits the final result of the Deloitte MCS Limited, Scoping Exercise and associated potential Five Year Business Plan, 2014 – 2019.

Deloitte was engaged by the Board to carry out this piece of work as a professionally designed instrument which it can use in the Board in taking an informed and responsible decision regarding the future of the Centre/Company. This is a process which we expect to have completed not later than the end of May this year.

Once that decision is taken we will issue an Open Invitation to the Public to come to the Centre where the rationale for the decision, whatever it may be, will be fully explained and an opportunity offered to answer any relevant questions those present may have.

A tentative date and time for that Public Meeting is Wednesday, 4th June 2014 in the Tara Centre Conference Hall at 7.30pm.

The decision will subsequently be published in the local papers and on the Centre website.

The actual date of the meeting will be confirmed or altered closer to the time, so make sure to check it out!

We appreciate more than words can tell the depth of support we have enjoyed from so many of you throughout this soul-searching process. We know your energy and prayer will see us through to the end – or should we say, a brand new beginning? We will all find out the answer to that question very soon, le cúnamh Dé.

For and on behalf of the Board of Directors.

Mary Daly and Maura Twohig.
