Dr Éamon Phoenix
It is with delight that we can confirm that Dr Éamon Phoenix, Lecturer in History and Head of Life Long Learning at Stranmillis University College, Belfast, will conduct a guided tour of a number of significant historical sites in the Dublin area associated with the present decade of commemoration of our shared history of 100 years ago.
Preparations for this day-long tour will take place at a venue close to Dublin city where participants will stay overnight on the evening of Thursday 15th September.
You will note on page 10 of this brochure that Dr. Phoenix is offering a four-week educational programme at the Centre in October 2016 entitled “… Ireland’s Decade of Commemorations Considered”.
While it is not necessary to have taken the Dublin tour in order to engage in this series of workshops, the benefits derived from the latter will be significantly enhanced for those who have also taken the tour.
