Elisabeth Goell

Tara Centre Fundraising Group present…

This evening of fun, entertainment and education is based on Elisabeth’s book ‘Tales of a Travelled Piano’, recently launched at the Strule Arts Centre here in Omagh.  The story line follows the adventures of a German piano from the household of Clara Schumann into its adopted country during one of Ireland’s most difficult periods in history.  Elisabeth will regale her audience with humour and facts, clothed in plain language together with pictures and pre-recorded music.

‘The Piano’ extends an invitation to take a fresh look at how Ireland remembers its musical heritage, raising a voice for peace and reconciliation with the various cultural and historical roots that have co-existed on the island of Ireland.

An evening for seekers of entertainment, of history and of music alike!

Elisabeth Goell is a prize and bursary winning Soprano, with a Masters in Voice Performance. She also holds a Licentiate Piano Teacher Diploma of the ABRSM and has given European wide performances as a soloist.  She has recorded for radio in Ireland and has made several CDs. In Omagh, Elisabeth works as a teacher of voice, piano, flute and guitar with all ages and abilities.

Elisabeth is generously donating all proceeds of this evening’s event to the Tara Centre.  Copies of her book will be available on the night and at the Tara Centre bookshop.  Elisabeth is also donating £5 from her book sales on the night and from the Tara Centre bookshop to the Tara Centre.

Tickets cost £10, and are available at Reception (028 8225 0024), or from a member of Tara Centre Fundraising Group.
