Dr Éamon Phoenix

Can we shape a better and more reconciled society from our difficult past?

This Series of five Wednesday evening Seminars will be followed by a unique Saturday Workshop providing an opportunity to reflect on and share any practical steps we can take towards moving beyond narrow, divisive, tribal loyalties, in order to play a part in shaping a better and more reconciled society.

Ireland

Registration: 10.00am–10.45am

Refreshments: Tea & Coffee is provided from 10.00am- 10.45am during Registration / Lunch provided

Cost: Negotiations towards Grant Aid towards this Programme have not been finalized at the time of going to print. The significance of the Contributions will be coloured by the outcome.

Note: Attendance at the Wednesday evening set of Seminars is highly recommended, though not essential.

“Sometimes, when nothing can be shared except regret, then regret must serve as the place to begin. Reconciliation does not demand that one side surrender to the other. The simple, mutual recognition that mistakes were made is, in itself, a closing of the divide.”
Steven Erikson

Registration Fee

Full payment can be made at the time of your booking. Alternatively, a £10 non-refundable registration fee secures your place at the event of your choice. The balance is payable any time up to and including registration on the day of the event.

A place will be reserved if you have either paid the full course fee or a registration fee. Occasionally the Tara Centre will offer a waiting list if a course is fully subscribed. In this event and if you wish to be placed on this list, you will be notified if a place becomes available, up to 24 hours before or on the morning of the event.

You are responsible for booking your own place at each course. If you know of anyone wishing to book a place, please ask that they contact Reception directly. We cannot accept multiple bookings.

Eligibility for concessionary fees may be discussed in confidence with the Chief Executive Officer.

Cancellation Policy

If you need to cancel your booking, we require 7 days’ notice before the event. We may then be able to offer the place to someone if there is a waiting list. The Centre reserves the right to cancel or change details of any event should unforeseen circumstances require this. In the event of the Centre cancelling a course, fees/deposits will be returned in full.
