Dialogue for Diversity: Am I a Victim? Explorations, Questions and Dialogue

This seven week programme, starting 27 January 2009, is being offered by Brian
Lennon, s.j., and Olive Hobson, Quaker House, Belfast. They are exceptionally
well qualified through many years of experience and academic training to deal
with this delicate and relevant topic for all who have lived in the Northern Ireland
Troubles. The programme will be facilitated through the dialogue process of
Dialogue For Diversity.
Places are limited and the deadline for applications is
Friday 20 January 2009.

TRANSGENERATIONAL CONFLICT

Dr Tony Humphreys
This one day seminar will be devoted to examining the individual’s responses to
the political and social conflict which has characterised life in Northern Ireland
for over 30 years and finding a way forward.
Themes:
• the individual’s story; • the need to belong; • the effects of transgenerational conflict; • emerging from conflict; • the nature of responsibility; • boundaries and defences; • relationships within home, schools, communities and work places; • leadership and the resolution of conflict; • creating safety for resolution.
This programme and The Art of Effective Communication described below will be
presented by Dr Tony Humphreys who is a consultant clinical psychologist and
a specialist lecturer on Education and Self Realisation both in Ireland and many
other countries worldwide.
