Peace III Funding for Tara Centre

A project supported by PEACE III Programme managed for the Special EU Programmes Body by the Community Relations Council/Pobal Consortium

The Tara Centre gratefully acknowledges the support of the Special EU Programmes Body for the funding to deliver Peace III Programmes (2007-2013) under the measure Priority 1: Reconciling Communities Theme 1.2: Acknowledging and Dealing with the Past Strand 2, Support for Participation

The delivery of the Peace III Programme through the Tara Centre commenced in Spring 2009.  This involves

  • Building for the Future Training Programmes
  • Counselling/ Psychotherapy Sessions
  • Art Therapy
  • Complementary Therapies
  • Respite weekends

Eligibility

Victims / survivors of the conflict or those who have cared for victim(s) / survivor(s) of the conflict in Northern Ireland.

The Peace III Programme 2007 – 2013

The EU Programme for Peace and Reconciliation in Northern Ireland and the Border Region of Ireland, 2007-2013 (the PEACE III Programme) is a € 333 million programme designed to build on the success of PEACE I and PEACE II in Northern Ireland and the Border Region of Ireland.  It is a distinctive European Union Structural Funds Programme aimed at reinforcing progress towards a peaceful, stable, shared society and has a continued and renewed emphasis on reconciliation.  To read more on the work of the Special EU Programmes Body, click here.
